How to play

CoupleDares is a collection of text card games for couples and small groups: dares, truth or dare and questions for two. There is nothing to install and no account to create. Every game has its own page with rules and sample cards.

One phone, passed around

Open a game, press Start game and hold the phone in front of you. Whoever holds the phone reads the card out loud and does what it says, then passes the phone to their partner. In games with categories or levels you can switch between them at any time; the colour of the screen shows how explicit the current category is.

Cards do not repeat until you have seen every card in the category or deck. When the round is over, a new one starts automatically. Your progress is remembered on this device, so you can close the tab and continue later.

Timer and favourites

Some cards include a timer: press start on the card and the countdown runs right there, with a signal when the time is up. Tap the heart on a card to keep it in favourites; the list is available from the game header and you can remove cards from it at any time. Favourites and progress are stored only in your browser.

Consent comes first

Every dare is an invitation, not an order. Anyone can refuse any card at any moment without explanation - just move on to the next one. Play only with adults who want to play, agree on boundaries before you start and stop whenever someone is not enjoying it.

Languages

The site is available in 18 languages. Use the language menu in the header to switch; the choice is remembered on this device.
